Peak climbing in Nepal is a challenging and exciting high altitude climbing adventure.  It offers climbing and summiting trekking peaks which lie in different regions. In Nepal, there are more than 1310 Himalayan peaks over 6000 meters in altitude and one can enjoy the pleasure of both trekking and climbing at the same time. Recently Nepal government is considering opening an additional 326 peaks for peak climbing and mountaineering. Some of the trekking peaks require technical climbing skills and novice climbers should be physically fit and must have basic climbing skills. Most of the peak climbing trips take you through wild and unexplored alpine regions, out of the crowd of regular trekkers.Truly speaking, for all novice climbers and experienced trekkers, Peak climbing activity will be a lifetime experience

For climbing trekking peaks, climbing permits with royalty are required as per the policy of Nepal Mountaineering Association. Climbing permits can be obtained only through Nepal government registered trekking agencies and these agencies must be a member of Nepal Mountaineering Association. The royalty for trekking peaks ranges from US$ 250.00 depending on the particular peak on per person basis. The permit issued will be valid for a period of one month. For extending the permission, an additional 25% charged of the total amount of the initial fee will be made for each extra week.
